      So long

So, ich hab mich jetzt mal mit dem Support mit meinem Problem auseinandergesetzt. Das Program arbeitet bei mir immer noch nicht, aber vllt. hilft es ja dem ein oder anderen wenn ich den Support poste:

      Hi,

Thanks a lot for your patience. Since everything is ok with the registry, there's only one other possiblity - something is blocking the connection to the database. It could be a firewall or maybe it's a language problem with the driver that PokerEV uses.

Unfortunately it's near impossible to fix without running off a native database. All I can suggest is waiting for the next version.

      Sorry I couldn't help.

      Dear Support,

PT says that my database is in c:\programme\poker trackerv2\ptrack.mdb.I find that mdb in my PT folder. And that is exactly the same name as in my registry. What i have to do now exactly please to run poker ev? And yes i canged my hard drive last week and reinstalled PT from their webside.

      With kindly regards

Ok, if you're still keen to fix this, here are instructions (repeated below):

      http://pokerevsoftware.com/forum/index.php?topic=325.0

Firstly, locate the database you currently use. It'll be in c:\program files\Poker Tracker V2\ or similar, with an ending of .mdb Get the path and name of this file. It'll look like this:

      C:\Program Files\Poker Tracker V2\ptrack.mdb

Do this for every database you have (every file ending in .mdb in that directory)

      1. Go to start > run > and type regedit. Press enter.
      2. In the program that pops up, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE , SOFTWARE, PTRACK, 2DB1
      3. Double click "Filename" on the right
      4. You'll see something like C:\Program Files\Poker Tracker V2\ptrack.mdb in the box. Replace this with the path where your database now resides.
      5. Do this for 2DB1, 2DB2, etc until all of your databases are listed
      6. Close regedit

      This should fix the problem.

      Hallo Phil,

i understand that the problem is PT and not in Pokerev- is that correct? Perhaps it works if i install postgre? You have an idea how i can fix it, that PT updating the data in the registry? Should i write a ticket to the PT Support?

      With kindly regards

      Thanks for the log.

It's not detecting any levels from your database. This is an unusual problem I haven't been able to fix. PokerTracker isn't updating the data in the registry so it's looking at old databases with no data in them.

All I can suggest is waiting for the next version, which has its own database.

      Sorry I couldn't help.

Postgresql isn't required, it runs off the PT default as well.

What message is displayed in the top left after clicking "load hands"?

If you send me a log file, that would help. Go to the settings tab, click "enable logging", go the databases tab, change the game type to omaha and back to holdem. A log file will be created in c:\program files\pokerev or similar. Please paste that into an email.

      Thanks for your help.

      Hi,

Try selecting a larger date range. If you run Vista, you need to run PokerEV as administrator. Right click the .exe and go to properties. If the above doesn't work, get back to me.

Und abschließend noch der Support von PT:

PokerEV is not a PT program, if you need support for that program you need to contact them.
