Habs mal ins Technik Forum verschoben.

Virtual PC + Windows XP?

      Dear Peter,

      Thank you for contacting us.

We are sorry you are experiencing difficulty with connectivity issues and understand how frustrating this can be.

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connects you to the tables on our Game Servers. Every time you connect to the main lobby, your link uses a network of servers on the Internet. These network connections are decided by your ISP.

When you connect to the tables, each table is again connected to our Game Servers through individual sets of network connections on the Internet. Each of these network connections uses multiple intermediate servers and each of these servers handles not only your connection, but also various other connections routed through them from the Internet.

This puts a lot of strain on the intermediate servers. Some of the servers are capable of handling heavy loads and are very stable, but some of them are not. A weak server will randomly select a connection passing through it and disconnect the subscriber.

We fully understand that it is not a problem from your end. However, as explained above, if there is a weak server on the network connection that your ISP has chosen to connect to our Game Servers, it is quite possible that you might face internet-connection problem.

Hence, we request you to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

We appreciate your understanding in this regard and wish you luck at our tables.

If you have any further queries please write back, we will be glad to assist you.

We wish you luck at our tables.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!

      Dear Peter,

      Thank you for contacting us.

I understand that your connection to server is very poor.

For the problem to be solved, I suggest you to delete Temporary files and cookies and do a disk clean up.

Please delete all Temporary Internet files and Cookies by:

      1. Double clicking on your internet explorer icon
      (blue e) on your desktop.
      2. Click on 'Tools' on the taskbar.
      3. Scroll down and click on 'Internet Options'.
      4. Click on 'General'.
      5. Click on 'Delete Cookies' and 'Delete Temporary
Files' in turn and click 'OK'. In the delete
temporary files dialog box, click to select
the 'Delete all offline content' check box if you
want to delete all Web page content that you have
      made available offline.

Note: If the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a significant amount of Web page content, this process may take several minutes to complete.

Follow the steps below to do a Disk Cleanup.
      1) Close all the programs
      2) Click on Start
      3) Click on Programs
      4) Click on Accessories
      5) Select System Tools
      6) Click on Disk Cleanup

Note: If the Temporary Internet Files folder contains a significant amount of Web page content, this process may take several minutes to complete.

I also request you to uninstall and reinstall partypoker in a different folder.

IMPORTANT: Before you uninstall the software ensure you save "Player Notes" onto a separate word file so that they can be retained. If you do not, all the notes you made through the "Add Player Notes" option will be lost.

      To uninstall the software:

      1. Click 'Start', point to 'Settings', click
on 'Control Panel', and then double-click on the
      'Add/Remove Programs'.
      2. Select 'PartyPoker', and click on 'Change/Remove' to
remove our software from your system.
      3. From your desktop delete the 'PartyPoker' icon.
      4. Open 'My Computer' and browse to "c:\". Once there
delete "C:\PartyPoker" folder (unless you renamed it
something different when you installed it the last
      time).
      5. Still in 'My Computer', open "c:\program files"
where you will see another folder called 'PartyPoker',
      delete this also.

      To reinstall the software

      1. Go to our website, click on "Click here to download and play now" to download the software.
      2. Save the setup file to the desktop.
      3. Double-click on the saved setup file to start the installation procedure.
      4. Change the default installation directory from "C:\Program Files\PartyPoker" to "C:\PartyPoker".

Once you have reinstalled the software you will need to add the Player Notes:

      1) Close all Windows.
      2) Right click on the 'PartyPoker' icon on the desktop.
      3) Click on 'Properties'
      4) Click on the 'Find Target' button
      5) Right click on the 'Notes' file and click
on 'Copy'. Close all the windows.
      6) Right Click on the Desktop and click on 'Paste'
      7) Once 'PartyPoker' is reinstalled, restore this file
      in the "PartyPoker" folder.

System: WinXP prof. (inkl. aller Service Packs u. Patches), Athlon 2.800+
      Internet: Arcor DSL 2000
      Antivir: AntiVir
      Firewall: Zonealarm

      Habe keine anderen Programme mitlaufen.
Bei PokerStars kann ich nach wie vor mehrere Tische ohne Probleme öffnen.

P.S.: ...erstes Posting und schon mit Problemen kommen *schäm*
